As of the 25th May 2018, new laws pertaining to data protection are being brought into effect, Dotty Pottery takes data protection seriously regarding customers information cllected.

As part of this compliance process we are required to inform all our customers how we hold their personal data that we collect as a result of our business activities.

In each case where you may be invited to submit personal data, such as an e-mail or postal address or a telephone number, you should find a clear statement of:

  • What data will be held
  • The purposes for which the data will be held
  • A contact name, e-mail address or telephone number to use should you wish to check or amend the data held, or request the deletion of that data
  • Whether any of the data will be disclosed to any third party, and if so, to whom.

If, after reading such a statement, you choose to submit any personal data, you are thereby giving your consent for that data to be held and processed for the stated purpose or purposes. Staff
As an employer, Dotty Pottery takes its responsibilities regarding the protection of their employee's personal privacy very seriously. Dotty Pottery holds staff information purely for company use. If, for any reason, staff data needs to be passed to a third party, Dotty Pottery will obtain consent from the individual concerned, prior to disclosure.

Staff biographical details may be found on some web pages. Where this occurs, these members of staff have given their consent for such information to be made available. However, publication in this way does not mean that such data have been placed into the public domain. Dotty Pottery retains control and copyright of such data and the data must not be reproduced or further processed without Dotty Pottery’s authorisation.

Customers
As a retailer, Dotty Pottery takes its responsibilities regarding the protection of their customer's personal privacy very seriously. Dotty Pottery holds customer information purely for company use. If, for any reason, client data needs to be passed to a third party, Dotty Pottery will obtain consent from the individuals concerned, prior to disclosure. Dotty Pottery does not sell or exchange customer data with third parties.

Privacy Policy

We collect and may store the following personal data:

  • Your full address –either home or business
  • Your contact mobile numbers
  • Your email address
  • We may also make notes on discussions with yourself, or other relevant information such as communication preferences and order details for future reference.

The above data will be recorded at point of sale on a sales invoice with customer present, the customer will also be given a copy of the invoice which will also display all contact details for Dotty Pottery.

We will also ask for your contact number when booking you an appointment at Dotty Pottery. We require your contact number so that we can confirm your appointment at a later date or to inform you of any changes or problems with the appointment you have made.

We will retain our copy of the sales invoice for 7 years for tax purposes, these will be kept securely and in line with data  protection regulations.

In accordance with the data protection act 1998 we will obtain written consent in order to take any videos or photos. These signed consent forms will be kept for a year however any photos used may remain longer than a year.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by email, phone or in person.
